Italy, the land of art, is calling you!

The technique of miniaturizing a tree to create a representation of nature in a small pot dates back to the sixth century in ancient China. Master plant miniaturizer Naoki Maeoka will be in Genoa this April as a guest at the 13th International Flower and Plant Exhibition, from April 24 to May 4.

Master Maeoka will lead workshops and demonstrations at the Tamerice Arena (Jean Nouvel Pavilion, first floor) from April 26-29 (2:30 PM–6:30 PM). Then, from April 30–May 4, instructors from the National Bonsai Art School will continue the demonstrations, interacting with the participants. A concurrent exhibition featuring Italian bonsai and monumental examples from the Swiss collection will also be held.

Euroflora 2025 will present a magnificent display of beauty and sustainable practices, showcasing 152 global gardens across 85,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor exhibition space with stunning sea views. This 13th edition, organized by Porto Antico di Genova, is considered the only event in Italy recognized by the International Association of Garden Producers (AIPH). Meanwhile, during Euroflora, the Rolli Days will take place on the weekends of April 26-27 and May 3-4. The doors of aristocratic palaces and the city's most opulent noble churches will be opened.
