Is it possible to give up grass in the landscape, or rather in the built landscape? We now know that this is not realistic. When we look at many factors such as the climate crisis, the decrease in water resources, and the maintenance costs of landscape and lawn areas, it is clear that the perspective on lawns and lawn areas needs to change.

Agricultural Engineer Ahmet Gülgün (Mucize Çim), who has been working on sustainable grass and turf areas in Türkiye for many years, was in Adana upon the invitation of the Adana Chamber of Landscape Architects. The talk, which took place on April 22, 2025, was held with the contributions of Çukurova University Department of Landscape Architecture and Adana Metropolitan Municipality.
