Seeing Professor Stefano Mancuso at Landscape Istanbul 2025 (LIF)…

Landscape Istanbul 2025 is getting ready for its 4th year this year. The organizer of this fair is Athena Fair Organization evaluates all its resources for international visitor flow and promotion. The Turkish plant and landscape sector should invite Professor Stefano Mancuso, who develops creative suggestions with his great knowledge, to Istanbul on 8-11 2025.

In just a few decades, our species has gone from being scattered throughout nature to living in a single, specific ecological niche. The city… 12,000 years ago, hunter-gatherer humans transitioned to settled farming, and this was a revolution of sorts. This transformation provided great advantages in terms of access to resources, productivity, defense, and the spread of the species. However, it also exposes us to significant risk. The specialization of our species is only effective in a stable environment. In changing environmental conditions, it becomes increasingly dangerous. Our cities, on the other hand, require a constant and increasing flow of resources and energy, but these are not unlimited. On the other hand, global warming could permanently change our environment and threaten our survival. Therefore, we have to redefine nature and our urban areas.

"The cities of the future must become phytopolises. These cities must be places where the relationship between plants and animals is harmonious and sustainable, as in nature. There is nothing more important for the future of humanity."
