The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality installed bicycle carriers on 480 EGO buses as part of the SMART Ankara Project to support environmentally friendly, sustainable transportation and promote cycling. Two panel vans were commissioned for field operations to integrate cyclists with other modes of transportation, while 1,290 meters of bicycle ramps were installed at 34 metro stations.

Meanwhile, the capital's first "Ankara Bicycle Strategy and Master Plan," consisting of 210 kilometers to be phased in by 2040, has been prepared. The 53.6-kilometer bike path project and master plan will bring a total of 275 kilometers of bike paths, comprising 87 routes and 38 stations, to the capital.
