The congress made it clear that the climate crisis and environmental problems are major issues that directly concern landscape architecture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 60th World Congress of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) took place in Istanbul from September 4-6, 2024, with the theme "Code Red for Earth." The International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) called on humanity to take urgent action to address the climate crisis. It invited policymakers, professionals, scientists, and individuals to chart a course for the world's future.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>What is the outcome for the profession and the educational world at the end of such a large and demanding event? The congress clearly demonstrated that the climate crisis and environmental problems are key issues directly affecting landscape architecture.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>According to Floraplus Magazine, this result is a significant gain. The most important distinction between landscape architecture and other professional disciplines centers on these issues. As the field and discipline of landscape architecture grows socially, culturally, and economically as professional organizations are captured within this framework, it will undoubtedly become more effective.
