In the most prestigious region of Italy\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The XIII Euroflora \u2013 International Landscape, Flower and Ornamental Plants Exhibition, the only Italian event supported by AIPH, has been completed. Approximately 200,000 visitors visited the fair in 11 days. 400 participants attended the fair, 154 gardens were created and 254 competitions were organized.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The talks and conferences, competitions and flower design events held during the fair attracted great attention. Visitors had the opportunity to see Florida palms, acidophilic plants from Piedmont (Italy), cut flowers from Liguria and Campania (Italy), and intertwined azaleas. In addition, century-old olive trees from the Pistoia Region, carnivorous plant collections, succulents and bonsai were presented.<\/p>\n

Rivers of trees instead of asphalt\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Euroflora 2025 focused on biodiversity, sustainability, landscape architecture, research and technology. The fair provided an exemplary dialogue environment for plant breeders, researchers, scientific communicators and public administrators who see nature as an element of redevelopment for cities. For example, neuroscientist Stefano Mancuso, at the conference \u201cFitopolis \u2013 City of Plants\u201d, explained that % 20% of asphalt in our cities should be abandoned and replaced by rivers of trees.<\/p>\n

Viola Follini, senior project manager at C40 Cities, touched upon the beneficial effects of plants on people\u2019s mental and physical health in the presentation of the Coldiretti \u2013 CNR research. The meeting with Mario Tozzi on \u201cTechnical Tests of Extinction\u201d caused by climate change and humans, and Federico Quaranta\u2019s observations on contemporary society, and his monologue \u201cRespect\u201d, which focuses on \u201cthe good life\u201d against excessive consumerism and planned obsolescence, were followed with interest.<\/p>\n

The competitions organized during the fair were evaluated by a team of 155 people, including 105 Italian and foreign juries, 8 regional directors and 35 jury secretaries. 254 honorary, technical and aesthetic competitions were supported by 7 scientific committee members. The total prize money was over 150,000 euros. Special attention was paid to the \u201cARS Urbana\u201d competition, which selected twelve projects created by landscape architects in the Kennedy District, as a blend of art, innovation and sustainability.<\/p>\n
