Seedlings obtained by utilizing the cells and tissues of the parent plant in sterilized laboratory conditions maintain their origins and grow into healthy, disease-free individuals. Despite the increasing use of propagation techniques in landscape and ornamental plant production, producers are forced to import some seedling varieties.
