<\/p>\n\u00d6demi\u015f Municipality has joined the European Union-backed Global Covenant of Mayors on Climate and Energy (GCoM) to combat climate change. This agreement makes \u00d6demi\u015f an international commitment to implement sustainable energy, environmental protection, and climate action plans.<\/p>\n

\u00d6demi\u015f Mayor Mustafa Turan, stating that they joined the agreement by decision of the Municipal Council, said, \u201cWe have a responsibility that extends from the local to the global level to protect our city's nature, agriculture, water, and future. With this agreement, we will take concrete steps to reduce carbon emissions, increase renewable energy sources, and build a city resilient to climate change. In this way, we will demonstrate \u00d6demi\u015f's vision of becoming a more livable, environmentally friendly, and resilient city not only for today but also for future generations.\u201d As part of the agreement, the \u00d6demi\u015f Municipality will develop a Climate and Energy Action Plan in the coming period.<\/p>\n
